The Closing

The closing is the day that was chosen to finalize the transaction. The home becomes legally yours. Several days prior to the closing you will meet with your lawyer to sign documentation required to complete the sale. Your lawyer will explain every document to you in a satisfactory manner.

You will also have to present funds for whatever down payment and closing cost that you are expected to pay. You will be expected to certify your cheque. You will be able to pick up the keys at your lawyers office at a pre-determined time on the day of closing.
