  • 2 min read

The Central Lakes Association of REALTORS® has released its June 2026 Housing Market Statistics, showing continued momentum across the Region with 1,617 total home sales across six CLAR Regions. This marks the fourth consecutive month of growth in sales activity across all Regions, reflecting a steadily strengthening market as we move deeper into summer.

“The continued increase in sales activity across all six CLAR Regions reflects growing buyer confidence and a stable real estate market,” said CLAR President Christine Riley. “Market conditions continue to create opportunities for both buyers and sellers in many communities. However, real estate trends can vary significantly from one area to another, making the guidance of a local REALTOR® invaluable in navigating regional market conditions and making informed decisions.”

Below is a closer look at what happened in your area:

Hastings County

Hastings County recorded 261 home sales in June, up 17.6% from 222 in May. The average selling price increased to $543,907, up 1.4% month-over-month.

New listings declined 10.2% to 531, while homes spent an average of 40 days on the market, holding steady compared to the previous month.

Northumberland County

Northumberland County logged 152 home sales in June, up 18.8% from 128 in May. The average selling price was $677,570, down 2.6% month-over-month.

New listings increased 11.3% to 423, while homes spent an average of 45 days on the market.

Prince Edward County

Prince Edward County recorded 47 home sales in June, up 17.5% from May. The average selling price increased to $758,304, up 3.1% month-over-month.

New listings declined 26.8% to 115, while homes spent an average of 46 days on the market.

“We commend the municipalities across our Region that have taken proactive steps to apply for funding from the new joint provincial and federal program to help offset development charges and support the creation of new housing,” said CLAR CEO Wendy Giroux. “Reducing barriers to new housing is an important step toward improving affordability and increasing housing supply.”

As we move into the second half of the summer market, continued sales growth and shifting inventory levels are creating opportunities for both buyers and sellers across the region.

If you’re curious what this means for your home or your neighbourhood, I’d be happy to provide a personalized market update tailored to your goals.
